This is a six hour course. It can be scheduled for 1 day or 2 x 3hrs over 2 days.
Many first aid courses will cover adults or children but not many cover both.
This course does exactly that solving the dilemma of which course will be best.
You will still be required to carry out a first aid needs assessment as primary schools will still need to have some staff certified in the 12hr Paediatric First Aid and both Primary and secondary school staff may require the full 3 day First Aid at Work but this is a great course for the remaining staff that require general first aid knowledge.
We can come and deliver this course at your school where you will have the flexibility of starting the course as early as you would like or alternatively you can request a later start on a date of your choice that suits you and your staff.
Assessment: You will be required to successfully complete a short multiple choice paper and will be assessed on your practical skills to qualify for your certificate.
This First Aid course has a mix of theory and practical elements. You will be required to kneel on the floor for some of the practical elements.
If you have any concerns about your ability to complete this element please contact us to discuss.
NEW LEGISLATION: Schools are now able to hold a spare Adrenaline Auto-Injector. For more information click here.
